Vampire Weekend - “‘New Song #2’”

Stay calm guys, what you’re feeling is not an earthquake; it’s the entirety of the VW fan-base jumping for joy at the news of a second never-before-heard song off of the upcoming LP3 being debuted at last weekend’s Pitchfork Music Festival. If you’re anything like me, the two and a half year void since Contra’s release in January 2010 has been absolute torture, but fret not! Even though frontman Ezra Koenig has been quoted as saying that the band has no set release date for the as of yet untitled third album, the general consensus from sources like Rolling Stone seems to be that we could likely see it by the end of the year. Here’s hoping that it’s filled with just as many “good vibes” as their Sunday night set.
